Pawtucket is a town located in Providence County, Rhodes Island, U.S.A. It is the fourth largest city on Rhodes Island and shares borders with Providence, East Providence, Lincoln, Central Falls, and North Providence.

The new border is still in place today. The territory west of the river was removed from North Providence and given to Pawtucket in 1874, yet it served as two different towns.
The west and east Pawtucket were eventually merged, and the city was incorporated in 1886.

The city’s residents are of different races and ethnic groups, such as Non-Hispanic white, Non-Hispanic African American, Native American, Non-Hispanic Asian, Pacific Islanders, and people of mixed races. The population spreads across different ages, but the median age of the city is 36 years
In 1793, Samuel Slater established a mill and used machines for spinning Cotton yarns, after which other textile industries grew. Today, asides from the textile industry, the city has 300 other employment industries dealing in diverse businesses such as Jewelries, metals, silverware, etc.
